Rogue Squadron
Metal Plating On The Terrain
By: EwingPilot ([email protected])
This glitch is seen in "The Prisons of Kessel" stage. When you are flying around, reach and maintain a high altitude, and you should be near one of the prisons. Dive down slowly, and little patches of metal floor or patches of the terrain that do not have graphics should appear.
Another Game Freeze
By: EwingPilot ([email protected])
Select the "Escape from Fest" level and play the game normally until "the gate is down." What you want to try to do is to make the cutscene of the AT-AT falling just as Luke says, "Abort mission. The AT-PT's have been destroyed. Repeat, Abort mission," and the game should freeze.
Zombie Luke
By: [email protected]
In the Battle of Hoth level, when the AT-AT's & AT-ST's are attacking the generator, there is a certain AT-ST that when you destroy Wedge will say "Another victory for Rogue Squadron!" Then Luke will say "Don't get cocky." Run into the AT-ST & if you explode & if the AT-ST will explode, Wedge will say "Another victory for Rogue Squadron!" & Luke say "Don't get cocky," even though he is dead!
Beggar's Canyon Shortcut
By: [email protected]
At the Beggar's Canyon level, you have to race Wedge to get a gold medal. Here's a shortcut that will help you out greatly: As soon as the race with Wedge begins (when Wedge takes the right route), fly through the course until you reach the fifth turn. Remember: the fifth turn of the race with Wedge; not the fifth turn from the start of the level. After the fifth turn, don't follow the course, just fly straight over the two hills in front of you. Don't fly over the first hill too high or you'll have to start again. Surprisingly, you'll be allowed to fly over these two hills and continue the race way ahead of Wedge! If you fly over the first hill and nothing happens, you'll know the trick worked. Wedge might sometimes call you a cheater but you'll be allowed to keep racing.
Dead Imperial Walking
By: Cory Rider ([email protected])
This is a trick you use after you done everthing in the trick which is named Different Cutscenes. Except after the shuttles and their platforms are destroyed (you do not have to destroy the shuttles in this one, but it is a fun thing to do if you want to see a "Imperial Rising from the Dead" and the shuttle cutscene) destroy all of the turrets, both gun and missle, then continue destroying the base as you normally would until you go to the cutscene where the TIE Interceptors come out and shoot down two of the Y-wings and capture Wedge. Then Luke will say something like "Were not done here yet, destroy all remaining Imperials" then destroy the rest of the building if their are any left. Then, go to the places where you destoyed the turrets, you will find that at least 1-2 turrets, if not more have come back to life!
Different Cutscenes
By: Cory Rider ([email protected])
***Note: Use the TIE Interceptor to fly quicker and to search the canyons with little wasted time***
You can change the cutscenes on the level called Assault on Kile II. You just change the order in which you blow-up the things. If you want to see some crazy things destroy the Garrison first and then blow up the sensor array. You will then go to a cutscene where Wedge says, "Theres that Garrison, go get it." Then it will show the destroyed Garrison, the orange thing that goes on your radar screen to lead you to objectives will point towards the Garrison even though it is all destroyed and you have it checked off as objective complete on the pause screen. If you want to see something really wierd then make sure you destroyed the building in between the sensor arrays which is a landing platform the destroy the two platforms the shuttles are on at the spaceport and, if you can, the shuttles themselves. Keep destroying the buildings on the spaceport until you come to another cutscene. You will see a shuttle land and takeoff from a "invisible" platform, which is the on you destroyed.
More Sun, More Speed
By: Cory Rider ([email protected])
This is a helpful fact on the TIE Interceptor for you to know in the game. On the TIE Interceptor you will notice that the "wings" are a black color and look like they are almost solar panels. There is a reason for that. The wings on the TIE Interceptor are designed to absorb solar energy. The solar energy helps to power the ION engines better or make the ship go faster. Ever wonder why only TIE Bombers are used on Deflection at Corilia? Or ever notice that the TIE Interceptor is so good on Ambush at Mos Eisley?
Battle of Hoth Trick
By: BassGuiBoy ([email protected])
If you go into the battle of hoth and destroy almost everything on your team, (the 2 speeders next to you in the beginning, the 6 guys near the Xwings, the tower on the mountain, the speeder and the guy your supposed to protect, the black house thing next to the generator, and the 3 gunners near the generator and if you want, the rest of the speeders) then destroy all the bad guys ships EXCEPT one of the two AT-STs all the way in the back from the generator. Once all the other ships are destroyed, leave so that you can't see the AT-ST anymore. Then come back. It will be gone, and you will be able to roam around until you give up! But thats not all! If you go back to where you started the level, you will see the transports leaving, disappearing and coming back endlessly!
'In the Walls' Trick
By: BassGuiBoy ([email protected])
If you have a ship that can take damage(try Milleniom Falcon with the TOUGHGUY code) you can fly through walls in certain levels. Lets take the Battle for the Nonnah as an example. If you fly near the bottom of one of the cliffs and pull up real fast with the bottom of the ship hitting the cliff, you can go into the cliff for a while. Pretty cool.
Ion Cannon Tricks
By: BassGuiBoy ([email protected])
If you are trying to shoot a ship and you have ion cannons as a weapon, try shooting with lasers and ions at the same time. The ion cannon slightly shoots toward the enemy and it's easier to shoot them, especially if you're shooting two different guns at once! Also, try holding down the ion cannon button. You will get a bigger boost that disables better.
Gerrard Five Glitch
By: s_kolk ([email protected])
In this trick timing is everything. When you are playing Gerrard Five, crash your ship into the ground right before the cutscene that shows Wedge being chased by Tie Interceptors. If you crashed at the right time, Wedge will talk to you while you are crashed and then it will show the cutscene with no sound, but the two Tie Interceptors will crash. This is a cool glitch, but as I said, timing is everything.
Freeze the Game #2
By: Dave Sebek ([email protected])
When playing the level "The Battle Of Calamari," use the code "KOELSCH" so you can fly the Black Caddy. Any time during this level that you press start to pause the game or to check the mission objectives, it will freeze the game. I don't know if it works for all the levels that the V-wing/Cadillac is on but it does work on the Calamari level
Power-Ups
By: [email protected], Colin [[email protected]], DWash3085, and Joshua Dushkewich ([email protected])
Here are all the power-ups in Rouge Squadron:
Chandrilla - After you have finished the first mission (protect the hover train) destroy the 3 AT-STs that are shooting at the shuttles. While doing this, a forth one should come along (it's out of sight range) Keep searching along the outside of the area, destroy the AT-ST and it will give you the power-up.
Defection at Correllia - The first one is on the "Defection at Correllia." After you stop the bombing run at the Tech Center, you make your way back to the Capital Tower. On your way there, you come across several cities. The first city has something like a maze towards the back end. In the back of that maze is a yellow box with a red line through it. That is a power-up box. Swoop through the back of the maze to reach it. They are Advanced Torpedoes.
Jade Moon - The 2nd power-up is easy to find on the Jade Moon. When you fly through the trench on your way to the Shield Generator, take the left fork first. Blow up the building at the end. It contains Advanced Shield Technology.
Imperial Construction Facility - In the Construction Facility, there are two landing platforms. The first has an AT-AT in front of it. The second has a shuttle on it.Fly behind the landing platform with the shuttle on it. There are two storage containers; one on the left and one on the right. Blow up the one on the left to reveal advanced bombs.
Prisons of Kessel - On the second Kessel mission, you have to rescue prisoners. The power-up is close to the second prison. Once the second rescue has begun, fly close to the surrounding cliffs and watch your radar. You should notice two stationary red dots in what appears to be a small indention in the top of the cliff. The dot on the right is a missle launcher while the left dot is a bunker containing Seeker Missles.
Blockade on Chandrilla - As soon as they show the cut-scene of bombers destroying the city, the hover train will park. From there, fly to the other side of the city. You should notice an AT-ST shooting at three towers. Destroy it to reveal another advanced bomb power-up.
Raid on Sullust - On Sullust, there is a landing platform in the center of the area. On the opposite side of the platform from where you start out, there is a large factory building. Destroy it to pickup Seeker Torpedoes.
Moff Seerdon's Revenge - On this mission you start out facing a missle launcher. To the left of it is a city. After destroying the Imperials there, Turn around and fly straight to the back of the city. You should notice a large Rebel building and a few Imperial Bunkers. Destroy the bunkers. In one of them lies a power-up. I believe them to be Seeker Cluster Missles.
Escape From Fest - As soon as you start the level, go rope up the first AT-AT, then turn 90 degrees to the left and take a left at the wall of snow. Fly up there and there should be two turrets and one Stormtrooper barrack, inside that barrack is a bonus!
Battle Above Taloraan - To find the well-hidden powerup at Battle above Taloraan, play through the level until you see a large, floating city. Try to fly over the right half of the city, staying a few feet above the city. If you fly downward into the city, you'll find the powerup. (I think the powerup is either Advanced Torpedos or advanced bombs.)
No Missile Lock On
By: Andrew ([email protected])
Instead of waiting for a missile lock you can press fire 2 times. ex. Say you get lost on Search for the Nonah (or what ever it's called) and it says "The Nonah is reporting their under attack!" and then you get there, you need a missile right away, cant wait for the lock on? Get your aimer on the enemy you want to shoot at and then press it 2 times for 1, 4 for 2 etc. As long as it's seeking missles or advanced bombs it will work.
Freeze the Game
By: Victor Velazquez ([email protected])
I don't know why anyone would want to freeze the game but here's how. After you have accesed the hidden Beggars Canyon race, enter a race against Wedge on the right course. At the end of the course you'll see a rock formation with a loop in the middle that you are supposed to go through, don't go through the loop and then the game will freeze.
Jade Moon Glitches
By: Adam Barr ([email protected])
These glitches are used with the passcode "farmboy" (the one to be the Millenium Falcon):
The insides of the Millenium Falcon: On any level that have you being able to be the ship, press < (left) on the D-pad. As soon as you do press start. When you do so you should see the insides of the ship.
For this next one you need the passcode "tiedup" on also to get the Tie Interseptor: On the Jade Moon, at the power generator shoot it a couple times (about 3) and run into it. During the sequence you will hear a scream, and when you see X-wings you will see Luke in an X-wing instead of a Tie and the screen will black out as soon as the movie is over (as in your dead). If the generator does not explode shoot it more the next time.
Secret Ships and Missions
By: Thomas Martinez ([email protected]) and Joseph Comunale
Like Shadows of the Empire, you earn secrets in this game by getting bronze, silver, or gold medals on all the missions. Here's what you get for each:
Bronze - Beggars Canyon (level) & T-16 Skyhopper (ship)
Silver - Death Star Trench Run (level) & X-Wing (ship)
Gold - Battle of Hoth (level) & Snow Speeder (ship)
Free flight on Tatooine
By: Matt Carmichael ([email protected])
Ever wanted to just fly around without having to worry about completing mission objectives? Well, now you can on the tatooine level. Just destroy all of the probe droids that are shooting the little homesteads, but don't shoot the ones that are just hovering around. Your fellow rogue's wont be able to destroy some certain droids, leaving you to just roam around the planet. And best of all, you wont have to leave the level automaticly via "mission failed".
